Gift Aid allows charities to claim back the tax you pay on donations
KSS is registered with HMRC for claiming Gift Aid so if you are a UK taxpayer the government allows us to claim Gift Aid on your donations at a rate of 25p in the pound. For every £1 you donate we can claim a further 25p – increasing the value of every gift you give by 25%.
If you’re a higher-rate taxpayer
You can claim back the difference between the higher rate of tax (40%) and the basic rate (20%) on the total (gross) value of your donation.
For advice on how to check if you’ve paid enough tax to use Gift aid or claiming back higher-rate tax, please visit the HMRC website.

“We have supported KSS Air Ambulance for many years. It is a fantastic charity which relies heavily on public donations and fundraising activities. Anyone of us could need their services which may be life saving. Keep on flying – for all our sakes.”
“I was delighted to meet Dan and then be introduced to Richard, who explained in great detail the work that the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance do, in preparing and equipping the helicopters for attending to casualties. I learnt so much about the day-to-day tasks for paramedics, doctors and pilots and the amount of equipment that is required on board. Whilst standing outside viewing one of the helicopters it was called out to an incident, so I was able to watch from a distance the process of receiving the call to getting airborne. It was fairly quick! I am so pleased that Cobtree Charity Trust is one of the grant making charities that helps to keep this amazing facility running in several of the home counties and often beyond”
Every moment counts. Across Kent, Surrey, and Sussex, our air ambulance crews deliver life-saving care when it matters most. These case studies highlight the quiet courage, rapid response, and expert treatment that define our mission—real stories of lives changed, families supported, and hope arriving from the skies.
