Our Fundraising Promise
The level of commitment we show to the patients in our care is matched by our commitment to support the amazing people who raise funds for our cause. After all, we simply could not continue our life-saving work without you.
We want to ensure that everyone involved with KSS has a positive experience with us. We aim to treat each individual fairly and respectfully, and we are always listening and looking to improve how we work with others.
Above all, we are committed to building a relationship with our supporters and the wider community of people involved with us that is based on trust. This, our Fundraising Promise, sets out the values, processes and principles that underpin our approach.
Communication
When it comes to communication, we take our responsibilities seriously and we understand that any communication should be carried out in accordance with your wishes. With your permission, we will keep you informed about new developments and how your support is continuing to help those who need us. If at any time you would like to change how we interact with you, or you would like to stop receiving messages from us, you can get in touch and let us know. Our supporters can also be assured that we never have, and never will, sell your details to any other organisation.
Compliance
Your personal details are stored securely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We adhere to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice to ensure that our operations and fundraising activities are conducted in a respectful, open, honest and accountable way.
Fundraising
For every £1 you give to KSS, 75p will be spent directly on providing care to the most critically ill and injured people in the region. The remainder ensures we have the appropriate infrastructure to support the delivery of our service while also enabling us to generate further funds and support those fundraising on our behalf.
Representatives who promote our in-house lottery are trained to adhere to our high standards, particularly when it comes to engaging with vulnerable people. We welcome feedback about any experience you may have had with a representative. This forms part of our continual efforts to improve our standards and ensure we are doing everything possible to be fair, considerate and respectful to all.
If you would like to know more about our fundraising activities or costs, you can see our latest annual reports here. Alternatively, you can get in touch with us and we’ll help you find the information you’re looking for.
Feedback
We are relentless in our pursuit of delivering outstanding care to our patients, providing excellent service to anyone who interacts with our charity, and extracting the maximum value from the donations we are so grateful to receive from our supporters.
If for any reason you feel we have fallen short of this promise, please get in touch – your feedback is valuable in ensuring we continue to improve for the future. For formal complaints, details of our official procedure can be found here, and we are fully supportive of the standards for charitable fundraising set out by the Fundraising Regulator.
