Celebrating our amazing Trustees during Trustees’ Week 2024
Trustees’ Week, which runs from 4 to 8 November is an opportunity to celebrate the amazing contribution made by trustees for their charities and recognise the difference they make.
Trustees are volunteers who play an essential role leading and governing charities, and who work as a team to make effective decisions.
There are nearly one million trustees across the UK all giving their time and commitment to support charities and help them thrive.
Here at KSS our board of 11 dedicated and multi-skilled Trustees is lead by our Chair, Barney Burgess whose connection with the charity began when he was a patient.
The leadership and expertise of our Trustees, together with their supportive approach and strategic oversight, enables us deliver our world-leading service across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
They bring expertise from various walks of life, offering well-informed advice and helping to shape our plans and priorities.
Our Trustees are collectively responsible for the overall governance of KSS, and ensuring that our staff act in the Charity’s best interest and that our much-valued funds are spent in a manner which achieves maximum public benefit. They ensure that KSS operates as a highly ethical and trusted charity.
