Cardiac arrest
doesn’t discriminate.
CPR shouldn’t either.
Every day across Kent, Surrey and Sussex, around 25 people suffer an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Currently only 1 in 10 survive.
You can change that

- Early CPR and defibrillation can more than double the chances of surviving a cardiac arrest.
- Research has consistently shown that women are approximately 27% LESS likely to receive bystander CPR in public compared to men.
- A recent study commissioned by KSS around the reasons for this disparity suggests that concerns about touching or exposing a woman’s chest could cause some bystanders to hesitate before providing lifesaving CPR or using a defibrillator when every second counts for survival.
