A team of 46 amazing supporters organised by Pay.UK recently took on the Thames Bridges Trek to support us in tribute to Finlay Pitt, a KSS supporter who sadly passed away aged just 20 earlier this year.
The Pay.UK team, which included Finlay’s father CEO David Pitt and his family and friends as well as a number of Pay.UK employees, took on the challenge in celebration of Finlay’s life on Saturday 9 September this year.
Pay.UK have also held a number of challenges and events to support their fundraising – including a bake sale, a bottle tombola and a quiz night – in total the team have raised an amazing £30,400 for our charity.
Sherree Schaefer, Chief People and Culture Officer from Pay.UK, who took part in the trek said: “It has been truly heart-warming to see the support from colleagues and friends given to David and his family during this extremely difficult time. We all wanted to celebrate Finlay’s life and it was important to everyone that we fundraised for a charity that he was passionate about”.
Lola Inge, our Running and Challenge Manager said: “It’s clear from all the tributes to Finlay that he was a very special young man. Everyone involved through Pay.UK has done a fantastic job in raising funds in his memory, and we are so grateful for their support.
Though Finlay sadly passed away, the money the team has raised will mean that KSS can continue to be there for patients across Kent Surrey and Sussex.”
