Our amazing Patient and Family Aftercare Manager, Sarita Taneja, has been crowned Charity Staff Member of the Year at the Air Ambulances UK Awards of Excellence 2022 – and we couldn’t be prouder!
Sarita is a true inspiration to all who have worked with her over the last six years. Amongst her many achievements – initially in our Community Fundraising Team and now in her current role – she has spearheaded our Young Ambassadors programme, helped to set up our new Patient and Family Aftercare Team, has supported thousands of fundraisers, organised store collections and managed KSS’s attendance at fundraising events.
The award was given to Sarita for her outstanding contribution to KSS and continually demonstrating high professional standards of performance and achievement.

Over the last six years, Sarita has supported countless fundraisers, supporters, patients and their families, and has positively impacted hundreds of lives. She thoroughly deserves this award.”
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to congratulate our fundraising team for being shortlisted for Campaign of the Year for our first digital lead generation fundraising campaign. This campaign exceeded all fundraising targets and resulted in us reaching a new, younger audience. The team showed great initiative in pushing boundaries, which is something we always strive to do at KSS.”

You don’t have moments like this without great people behind you who believe in you and I’m blessed to have the best colleagues, friends, family, KSS supporters and former patients who always show me such kindness. The award is a celebration of everything that is special about KSS and I’m extremely thankful that I’m a part of a great team and will always remember this with a very happy heart.”
Air Ambulances UK Awards of Excellence 2022 celebrate and recognise the specialist life-saving skills and commitment of those working tirelessly within and in support of the air ambulance community.
