Record numbers saddle up for KSS Ride 2025 at Bilsington Priory

KSS Ride, our annual equestrian fundraiser has once again smashed records, with an impressive 184 riders and horses taking part in this yearโ€™s event.

Held on Sunday 13 July at the stunning Bilsington Priory Estate in Ashford, the event saw participants complete a scenic six-mile route through the estate’s picturesque woodlands.

The ride raised over ยฃ12K in support of our lifesaving work. Riders, supporters, and volunteers alike enjoyed a fantastic day in the summer sunshine, celebrating both community spirit and a shared commitment to supporting emergency care.

โ€œWeโ€™re delighted that so many riders were able to join us for KSS Ride 2025. As a charity, we rely heavily on public fundraising and community support such as this and want to say a huge thank you to all of the wonderful people and horses who took part. Your support will ensure we can continue saving lives and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients. Weโ€™re thrilled with the turnout and generosity shown!โ€ โ€“ Lauren Simmons, Head of Events.

KSS Ride not only brings our equestrian supporters together to raise funds for KSS, it also offers us a chance to raise awareness of safe riding with a community that may one day need our help.

“It was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish.โ€ฏThe routes were absolutely beautiful, and the planning was clearly meticulous โ€“ everything was so well signed, making for a smooth and enjoyable ride…Beyond the excellent logistics, what really stood out was how incredibly nice everyone involved was. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and supported.โ€ฏI thoroughly enjoyed every minute and it’s clear a lot of hard work went into making it such a success. Thank you again for everything!”โ€ฏ- participants Ashleigh and John

Weโ€™re also incredibly thankful to everyone at Bilsington Priory Estate, St Johns Ambulance, Faversham Ices, GW Highways, Andrew Wickens at ARW Photography, Saracen Feeds and everyone who supported us at KSS Ride.

Our next fundraising event โ€“ Heli Hike in Surrey and our Family Fun Day – takes place on Saturday 31 August in Loseley Park, Guildford, Surrey. Find out more about all of our upcoming events and get involved to support our lifesaving service here.
