Five determined runners from KSS are tackling a gruelling 225-mile relay from London to Paris to raise funds.
Starting today, Thursday 10 September, KSS staff members Aimee Dunger, Phill Richardson and Sarah Piggott are on the first day of the four-day Run2Paris challenge, covering 225 miles before crossing the finish line beneath the iconic Eiffel Tower on Sunday 13 September. The team is completed by keen runners and friends of the runners, Tom Lord and Rebecca Allard.
Run2Paris September 2026 sees 27 teams of five take turns running relay stages from London to Paris, each runner taking on between 11 and 16 miles each, every day, raising vital funds for charity. For the first time this year, KSS will be one of the beneficiaries of the event, with the money raised helping us deliver advanced pre-hospital lifesaving emergency care to people across Kent, Surrey and Sussex when every second counts.
Aimee Dunger, HR Systems and Data Analyst from KSS said: “Taking on Run2Paris is an incredible opportunity to challenge ourselves while raising awareness and funds for a cause that means so much to us. We know the miles will be tough, but we’re motivated by the difference every donation can make. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help support the incredible work KSS does every day.”
Phill Richardson, HEMS and Critical Care Paramedic said: “Being part of this challenge is both exciting and daunting. There will undoubtedly be some difficult moments along the route, but knowing we’re helping to support KSS and the patients we serve will keep us moving forward. I’m proud to be part of such a fantastic team.”
Sarah Piggott, Governance Assistant added: “KSS is there for people on what is often the worst day of their lives, and that’s something that inspires me every day. Run2Paris will push us physically and mentally, but I’m looking forward to taking on the challenge and raising as much money as possible along the way.”
