New Young Ambassador Logan helps celebrate five years of Team KSS Young Ambassadors

We are delighted to welcome eight-year-old Logan Malthouse from Tonbridge as the newest member of our inspirational Team KSS Young Ambassadors, as we celebrate the fifth anniversary of the programme.

Since its launch in 2021, our Team KSS Young Ambassadors programme has brought together extraordinary young people whose lives have been touched by KSS. Through fundraising, sharing their stories and helping to raise awareness of the charity’s lifesaving work, the ambassadors have become powerful advocates for patients and families across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Logan was seriously injured following a road traffic collision in May 2025 when he was just six years old. KSS provided specialist pre-hospital emergency care before airlifting him from Tonbridge to King’s College Hospital in London. His mum, Rebecca, travelled alongside him. Following his recovery, Logan and his family received support from our Patient and Family Aftercare Team and recently attended the Team KSS Young Ambassadors Summer Picnic, where he met fellow ambassadors and learned more about the role they play in supporting the charity.

Inspired by the care he received, Logan is now looking forward to helping KSS continue saving lives across the region.

Logan said: “I’m hoping to help raise awareness of the air ambulance, and to do what I can to help raise funds so they can help support other children, just like me”.

Over the last five years, Team KSS Young Ambassadors have helped to raise awareness of the charity’s work within their schools, communities and families, while also inspiring others through their resilience, compassion and determination. The programme includes young people whose own lives, or those of their loved ones, have been profoundly impacted by the specialist critical care provided by KSS.

Sarita Taneja, KSS Patient and Family Aftercare Manager, said: “As we celebrate five years of our Young Ambassadors programme, it is wonderful to welcome Logan to the team. Logan is incredibly friendly and keen to help everyone around him. His kindness will see him fit in perfectly with our team of Young Ambassadors.”

“Over the past five years, our Young Ambassadors have made an incredible contribution to KSS. They have helped raise awareness of our lifesaving work, supported fundraising activities and inspired so many people through their stories. We are excited to see the difference Logan will make as part of this very special group.”

The Team KSS Young Ambassadors are an important part of the charity’s ambassador family, helping to champion KSS’s vision of ending preventable loss of life from medical emergencies. Through community events, fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns, they continue to demonstrate how young people can make a real difference.”

KSS is honoured to welcome Logan as it marks five years of Team KSS Young Ambassadors and looks forward to supporting him as he helps inspire the next generation of lifesavers.
