Dr. Katherine Henderson MBE
Dr. Katherine Henderson MBE is a senior Emergency Medicine doctor at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, where she also leads urgent and emergency care services. She has over 20 years of experience working on the NHS frontline and has led emergency departments at both large teaching hospitals and busy local hospitals.
Katherine was President of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, guiding the specialty through the Covid-19 pandemic and leading national work to improve patient safety and care standards. She’s passionate about making sure all patients receive safe, timely care, especially in medical emergencies.
Katherine’s interest in air ambulance services comes from her belief that they play a vital role in filling gaps in emergency care, particularly for patients in serious medical need.
