We partner with the Institute of Directors in Surrey

We are delighted to announce that we will be working with the Surrey branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD) to raise our profile in Surrey and connect with more Surrey businesses.

During the coming year, we’ll hold a number of events and fundraising activities extending opportunities for the Surrey branch of the IoD to engage their members with the charity and create mutually beneficial partnerships. IoD members will hear about the benefits that supporting a charity such as ours brings to their organisation and employees.

Having heard from Alex Redwood, our Head of Corporate Development , and seeing us win the Community Hero Award at the recent Surrey Business Awards, Jarmila Yu, Surrey Institute of Directors Chair suggested a partnership between the two organisations.

Jarmila Yu said: “Directors who choose to join the IoD understand the importance of professional development, high standards of corporate governance, and are by definition community and purpose driven looking for ways to give back and pay it forward. We are therefore delighted to appoint Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex as our Charity Partner.

“Their work, saving lives across Surrey and our neighbouring branch areas, is absolutely invaluable and essential for everyone living in the region. We look forward to supporting the charity with donations coming from some of our IoD Surrey events, and providing the charity with the opportunity to leverage the communications platform we have with our members in the business community in Surrey and beyond to help raise awareness of the charity and its valuable work.”

Alex Redwood said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with an internationally renowned and respected organisation that also has its finger on the pulse of local business needs. We look forward to helping businesses bring their environmental, social and corporate governance, and community programmes, to life whilst mutually benefitting from their fields of expertise.  KSS is an independent  charity and it costs over £45K per day to operate our lifesaving service. It’s only thanks to the generosity of our supporters that we can keep flying and saving lives.”
