Join our Heli Hike and help raise vital funds

Registration is now open for our first Heli Hike, taking place at The Friars in Aylesford, Kent on Saturday 24th September.

Open to walkers of all ages and abilities, Heli Hike is a sponsored walk, introduced to help us raise vital funds. Each year we must raise £15.2M to provide pre-hospital emergency care 24/7 to the 4.8 million people who live in Kent, Surrey and Sussex, and 86% of our total income is raised through the generosity of our supporters.

Heli Hike features two routes, 7.5 miles or 3 miles, both starting and finishing at The Friars. Entertainment including live music and child-friendly activities will be available on the day, along with refreshments. There will also be an opportunity to meet members of our crew and to find out more about our extraordinary work.

Lauren Simmonds, our Head of Events said: “You will probably have seen our helicopter fly overhead as we race to the scene of a serious injury or medical emergency, but KSS is so much more than speed alone. When people are experiencing the worst moments of their lives, we bring the hospital to them. Our expert doctors and paramedics deliver life-saving critical care, whenever and wherever it is needed.”

“We are an independent charity and we rely on the dedication, support, and donations from our communities to keep our crew in the air. On behalf of KSS, a huge thank you to each and every one of our supporters”

“We are really excited to launch our first ever Heli Hike and do hope you will join us so that if someone you know needs us, we can be by their side, fighting to save their life, within 30 minutes.”

Everyone who takes part in Heli Hike will receive a special KSS Heli Hike t-shirt along with a medal. Registrations before 29th July will benefit from an Early Bird discount.
