More than two hundred of our amazing supporters are starting the year getting fit and raising funds to support our lifesaving charity by taking part in our annual Run 31 challenge.
To complete ‘Run 31’ participants must run or walk 31 miles during January, equivalent to just one mile a day, an achievable goal for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.
Some are doubling or tripling their impact by challenging themselves to run 62 or 93 miles, equivalent to two or three miles per day. To mark the charity’s 35 anniversary, some are choosing to cover 35 miles while two friends have challenged themselves to cover 31 miles plus an additional 100!
There’s a free T-shirt just for signing up, with rewards such as a snuggly snood and beanie hat (a necessity at the moment!) on offer for those raising £31 and £150.
Lola Inge, our Running and Challenge Manager said: “Come and join the Run 31 fun this January for your chance to be part of something bigger. Run, walk, make a difference.
“When you sign up, you’ll be taking the first step towards saving lives in our community. Grab your trainers and complete this challenge your way! Every mile you complete will help get our lifesaving crews to where they’re urgently needed.
There’s a growing Run 31 Facebook group where you can share updates, cheer on fellow participants, and stay motivated as you take on Run 31 together. Wherever you take part, you won’t be doing it alone.”
