When there’s a life-or-death call, we’re on the scene fast, flying the emergency room to wherever it’s needed. Our specialised doctors and paramedics bring immediate, lifesaving treatment to loved ones when they need it most. The treatment and time between a life-threatening emergency and loved ones reaching hospital is critical. Our helicopter and crew are their best chance for survival.
Our air ambulance is a genuine lifeline. But until now, we’ve only leased the aircraft that our service depends on. Now, we have a time-limited opportunity to buy it. Owning this lifesaving helicopter will allow us more hours in the air every day. That means more lives saved.

The day started like any other for Noel and his family. But quickly their lives changed forever.
“Even from the air, Noel’s accident looked as bad as it gets. He was struggling to breathe and losing huge amounts of blood. Noel’s injuries were life-threatening. His life depended on what we did next.
We gave Noel emergency anaesthetic and performed surgical procedures to release pressure on his heart. We began breathing for him, started blood transfusions and splinted his badly broken legs to slow the bleeding.
Soon, back in the air, we continued Noel’s critical care in the helicopter. Just 10 minutes later, Noel was being treated at King’s College Hospital. Nine months later, he was back home with his family.
It was a privilege to be able to be there for Noel, and make such a difference for him and his family. Keeping families together is exactly why Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex exists.”
