YOU are invited to join us for an evening of light, laughter and lifesaving purpose at Heli Hike at Night in Mote Park, Maidstone on 25 October. This walk under the stars is supporting critical care that never sleeps โ our teams respond to emergencies around the clock.
Whether you choose the 2.5 or 5-mile route, every step you take will help keep our doctors and paramedics flying 24/7 to bring hospital-level critical care to those who need it most โ wherever and whenever itโs required.
Ready, Set, Glow!
After a heroโs warm-up with our lifesaving crew, grab your glow sticks, don your brightest fancy dress, and join hundreds of fellow Heli Hikers as Mote Park is transformed into a glowing trail of hope. Along the way, re-energise yourself at our vibrant party zones complete with music, sweet treats, selfie stations, glitter face painting and more.
Participants are invited to wear a personal message on their T-shirt โ a tribute to a loved one, a thank-you to the crew, or a note of support for the cause. At the finish line, they can add a personal message to the KSS Memory Board, a powerful reminder of why every step matters.
Fuel for Heroes
Before you set off, enjoy a complimentary burger and soft drink courtesy of the Rapid Relief Team. And when you cross the finish line, celebrate with a hot chocolate and a well-deserved commemorative medal.
Raise just ยฃ50 and youโll receive your exclusive KSS beanie, proudly worn by those lighting the way for others. The routes are fully accessible, welcoming walkers of all ages and abilities โ because no hero gets left behind.
Why It Matters
Every mile walked, every pound raised, helps usn deliver urgent care โ from blood transfusions to heart surgery โ directly to the scene. We operate 24/7, 365 days a year, but we canโt do it without you.
KSS Events Manager Warren Porritt said: โOur Heli Hike at Night is a fantastic evening out for all ages, and by taking part youโll be supporting a truly lifesaving cause and making some fantastic memories.
โOn average, we make nine lifesaving missions a day to people who suddenly become critically injured or ill. Most have been involved in road traffic collisions or experienced medical emergencies like cardiac arrest or stroke. It costs ยฃ57K to run our lifesaving service, largely funded by the communities we serve. We hope you never need us โ but by joining us, youโll help ensure weโre there if the worst does happen.โ
Gather your friends, family, and community. Letโs hike, fundraise, and save lives โ together.
