By signing up to learn CPR and how to use a defibrillator, you’re taking a vital step toward potentially saving a life. Bystander CPR and use of a defibrillator can more than double someone’s chance of survival, and with your help, we’re bringing this lifesaving knowledge to more people. We’ll be in touch in the coming weeks with the links to pre-recorded sessions or live-streaming information.
But now we need you to spread the word! If you’re up for helping, take a photo of yourself making a heart symbol with your hands and post it to social media with #InYourHands, tag a friend and challenge them to learn CPR with you this October!
It’s #InYourHands

I’m learning CPR with KSS this October! 80% of cardiac arrests happen at home, and only 1 in 10 survive. It only takes 30 minutes to learn how to save a life! ❤️
I challenge you to join me. #InYourHands #RestartAHeart #KSSLifesavers

Coffee, Cake & CPR
By hosting a Coffee, Cake and CPR morning, you can help change these statistics, learning vital CPR skills, how to use a defibrillator and raising essential funds for KSS.
On Tuesday 15 October we’re asking everyone across Kent Surrey and Sussex to host your own Coffee, Cake and CPR morning. Gather your friends, family, colleagues or neighbours to enjoy some coffee and cake. If you can’t host on Tuesday 15 don’t worry! Pre-recorded sessions will be available to watch all week.
You’ll not only learn skills that could save a life, you’ll also be raising lifesaving funds for your local air ambulance. Your coffee morning will help us save lives when every second counts.
What you’ll need:
- A venue – whether that is your office, community hall or home
- Access to internet and a screen
- Ask everyone attending to bring either a pillow, rolled up jumper or cushion to act as their patient
- Enough space on the floor to allow people to practice
- Some home baked or shop bought treats and some coffee and tea
- We have downloadable resources to help promote your Coffee, Cake and CPR event
