Your allocated start time will be emailed to you ahead of the day with the time slot you have chosen.
We fully understand that things do not always go to plan on the day – especially with horses. So, if you are running late, please do keep in touch to let us know. As and when you arrive, we will do our best to slot you into a suitable slot to enjoy your ride.
Should we not hear from you prior, you’ll receive a courtesy call from us to check all is ok and if you are still planning to attend.
You must bring your own horse along to the event. We are unable to supply horses for riding. No stallions.
No, you are welcome to choose an earlier slot, but please be aware that cantering will be allowed for others during those times in allocated areas.
With regret, due to the nature of the terrain, we cannot recommend that our routes are suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. If you would still like to take part, contact our Events Team to see how we can help you.
Yes, friends, family, and well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you on the day however, they will not be allowed to walk the ride with you. They are welcome to use the facilities available at the priory on the day.
Dogs are to be kept on a lead, under control, and not to be kept in cars/horseboxes.
Yes, located in the car park. We will provide you with emergency numbers for the team on the day should you need help when out in the field, and our event stewards will be present at various points round the course.
We ask all KSS Riders to try and fundraise for us.
We ask for you to aim to raise at least £50.
On signing up, Enthuse creates a fundraising page for you which we will send you in your welcome email. From there you can edit and include photos of you and your horse to help boost your kind donations!
The Events Team will support you with your fundraising and provide you with tips and tricks to help you reach your fundraising target.
You will also send you a fundraising pack in the post, including a sponsorship form for those who wish to support you offline.

Yes, we’d recommend a sharing the Enthuse fundraising page with your fellow riding team and would ask that you edit the target to reflect the total amount you would like to raise as a team.
Anyone under the age of 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult.
No, there’s the option for you to cut your ride short before you enter the second woodland trail, at about 6 miles in to the 8 mile course. We will still have a rosette and goodies waiting for you when you return!
