We’re excited that there are just a few days to go until we welcome our registered ticket holders to our sold-out Emergency Services Fun Day, the biggest of its kind in Kent. 

With flashing lights, fire engines, helicopters, police cars – and so much more – it’s going to be a fun-filled and action-packed day out for all the family. 

Taking place during national Air Ambulance Week and on National 999 Day, there couldn’t be a better time to discover more about the local emergency services who are here for you 24/7. 

Here’s just some of the exciting activities to enjoy:  

  • Meet the Crew: Get up close with the dedicated KSS crew and learn about their life-saving work.
  • CPR Demonstrations: Witness our crews performing CPR with awareness on how you can help save a life too!
  • Games & Prizes: Enjoy a variety of fun games for all ages with exciting prizes to be won.
  • Food Stalls: Taste delicious treats from local food vendors.
  • Ice Cream Vans: Stay cool with refreshing ice cream on a warm summer’s day.
  • Face Painting & Glitter Stalls: Add some sparkle and get creative with face painting and glitter accessories.
 
 

Important information 

  • Our Emergency Services Fun Day is sold-out and due to a venue capacity, we regret that no tickets will be available on the day.

    We kindly request that you do not attend the event unless you are already a registered ticket holder and you have received a confirmation email from us. We will be unable to allow entry to anyone without a confirmation email.

    There is no parking on-site at Rochester Airport.

    All registered tickets holders have been sent information about our Free Park and Ride service operating to/from the event.

Event tickets 

This is a ticket only event and tickets are sold-out. We will be unable to allow entry to anyone without a ticket registration confirmation email. No tickets will be available on the day.

  • The event site is a non-smoking site including all vapes.  

  • You must have a valid ticket registration email to gain entry to the event. 

  • No dogs are allowed on site except for registered assistance dogs. Please note dogs are not to be left in vehicles during the event.   

  • You are welcome to bring your own food and drink. However, food, drink and ice creams will be available to purchase on site from stall holders. There are no water filling stations at the event but water will be available to purchase.

  • The event is being held on a live airfield. Please make sure you (and any children or others for whom you are responsible) remain within the designated event area. For your own safety, do not enter the live airfield or approach any aircraft on the airfield.

  • Please ensure all litter is placed in the bins provided as aircraft will be using the airfield. 

  • Alcohol is not permitted on site. 

  • No bikes, scooters (self-propelled or electric), skateboards or other forms of leisure transport are allowed on the event site.   

  • We will be taking photos throughout the day.  If you do not wish to be in any of our photos, please let the entrance staff know.  

  • If any of the aircraft or emergency response vehicles need to leave the event you will be asked to move a safe distance away by our stewards.  We ask that you comply with any instructions given. 

  • Please be respectful of our neighbouring businesses and organisations at Rochester Airport. Please use the bins provided, or take your rubbish away with you, and please refrain from any antisocial behaviour so that everyone can enjoy the event.

  • The event is being held Rochester Airport, Chatham, ME5 9SD.

  • The event is sold-out. Please only attend if you are a registered ticket holder. Unfortunately, we are unable to allow anyone without a ticket registration confirmation email into the event. No tickets will be available on the day.

  • Please use public transport where possible. Arriva bus route 101 runs along the Maidstone Road and the bus stop is a two-minute walk to the venue.

  • If you live locally, please consider walking to our venue.

  • There is no parking on-site for the event at Rochester Airport.

  • Parking for the event is located at our free Park and Ride Service operating from Ringshill Farm, Rochester, ME1 3TP. Please use the entrance off Burham Road.

  • The what3words location is: bonds.truth.zooms

  • Please be aware that this service is operating from a field so there will be no toilet or refreshment facilities available. As the field is part of a working farm it is very important to please use the bins provided or take any rubbish home with you. Please refrain from leaving any litter.

  • The expected journey time from the Park and Ride to the event is around 15 minutes.

  • The first bus from the Park and Ride to the event will be at 11.45am

  • The last bus leaving the event for the Park and Ride will be at 4.15pm

  • Buses will run between the Park and Ride and the event approximately every 30 mins.

  • We’re expecting the Park and Ride to be busy, so there could be a queue for some of the buses at peak times of demand. Our Park and Ride support team will be working hard to ensure your journey to/from the event is as quick and easy as possible.

Accessible parking for Blue Badge holders is located on-site at Rochester Airport. Please arrive at the main entrance with your Blue Badge clearly displayed in your windscreen and a member of our team will direct you to the accessible parking area.

  • St Johns Ambulance will be on site should you feel unwell at any time. 
  • Our staff will be on hand to help you or address any concerns if needed.  
  • The Emergency Services Fun Day is an open-air venue with limited indoor space, therefore we cannot guarantee refuge to visitors in the event of extreme weather.  
  • Visitors are asked to come prepared for all weather conditions, including the need for sun protection.  
  • Part of the event will take place on the grass airfield.  Whilst the ground is flat, in the event of rain the airfield will become muddy under foot. 
  • The Emergency Services Fun Day may be cancelled in the event of extreme weather.
