Exciting new go-kart event to raise vital funds

We’re delighted to be announcing an exciting new fundraising event, the Daytona Go-Kart Race, taking place on Friday 20 June 2025, at the renowned Daytona Sandown Park Circuit in Esher, Surrey.

Teams of up to five participants are set to experience a very special afternoon of endurance go-karting, team building, and fun, while raising vital funds to support the critical lifesaving work of KSS. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned racer, the event will be an unforgettable experience for all.

Rebecca Ussher, our Corporate Partnerships Manager, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming some of our fantastic supporters to what is going to be a very special fundraising event. It’s going to a fun day full of exciting racing and team-building to raise money for a great cause.”

Participants will enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day, including a silent auction with a chance to bid on some fantastic prizes, including the chance to have Thomas Merritt, BRSCC Fiesta Junior Driver on their team.   There will be live commentary throughout the racing and there will be chance to speak to some of our lifesaving crew and see inside one of our specialist Rapid Response Vehicles.

Thomas Merritt, who is working in collaboration with us to increase awareness of our charity’s lifesaving work commented: “I’m delighted to be taking part in this exciting event with Daytona Karting to support KSS. The charity is very close to my heart, and opportunities like this are so important to help them with their fundraising. I’m sure the day will be a lot of fun and produce some fantastic racing. I am really looking forward to it!”

Every lap raced will help save lives across Kent, Surrey, and Sussex. By taking part you’ll be helping us continue providing vital lifesaving care when every second counts.
