Seven cyclists from Intact Insurance in Horsham have raised a fantastic £52k for KSS by successfully completing an extraordinary 770-mile journey from Glasgow to Horsham. The group have been raising vital funds for KSS in memory of their friend, Dan Corrick.
Taking place from 22 to 29 June, the eight-day endurance challenge saw the team push themselves to the limit as they travelled the length of the UK, visiting 10 Intact Insurance offices along the way. The ride was organised by Jason Foyle, a close friend of Dan, who brought together six colleagues to honour his memory.
Dan sadly passed away in 2022, and KSS played a vital role in his care, giving his family the opportunity to say their final goodbyes. The challenge was created to reflect the impact of that care and to help ensure others continue to receive lifesaving treatment when it matters most.
Rebecca Ussher, Corporate Partnerships Manager at KSS, said: “Our thanks go to every member of the team who took on this challenge during some exceptionally hot weather and to everyone who has supported them to raise such an incredible sum. They all showed remarkable commitment, and we are so grateful that they chose to support KSS in this way.”
During the final day the team visited our Redhill base before heading to Horsham where they received a hero’s welcome from family and friends.
