Terms and Conditions
-
- The Buy it for Life campaign enables our eligible supporters, for a minimum donation of £100, to have their gift recognised through the addition of a name (“dedication”) to the underside of one of our aircraft. The entry of a dedication for inclusion on the aircraft will constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- We are Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex; a Registered Charity in England and Wales (No. 1021367) and a Registered Company, Limited by Guarantee in England and Wales (No. 2803242) (“KSS”)
- KSS reserves the right to amend any of these Terms and Conditions or to suspend, cancel or amend the Buy it or Life campaign at any time by placing a notice on our website.
- Dedications can be made starting 01 April 2024 and can be made until the earlier of:
- Friday 28 June 2024
OR - 3,100 dedications are submitted
- Friday 28 June 2024
- To be eligible, supporters must be 18 years of age or older.
- You may choose the dedication, but it must meet the requirements of these terms and conditions.
- There are no limits to the number of dedications a supporter may add, but a minimum donation of £100 is required for KSS to consider each dedication.
- Names may contain titles such as Captain, Dr, Lady, and may contain post-nominal letters. Nicknames or informal versions of names may also be used, such as Tony. The maximum number of characters per dedication, including spaces is 30 characters. Names cannot include emojis or special characters.
- The names must not include any discriminatory or offensive language or be used for political promotion or corporate advertising.
- Each dedication shall be printed with a minimum text point size of 17.
- If KSS believes that the clause 5 has been compromised or could otherwise cause reputational or other damage to the charity, it reserves the right to reject the dedication. The supporter is not entitled to a refund of their donation. If the supporter wishes to add wording, other than an individual’s name, we recommend speaking to a member of staff in advance of applying.
- The name does not give any entitlement to ownership or visitation rights to the aircraft.
- Collectively, all the names will take the design of the safety chevrons that appear on the underside of the aircraft. The order that names appear will be in the control of KSS and the design team.
- It is envisaged that the names will remain for a period of three years. However, the supporter recognises that, due to wear and tear or other damage, the names may wear or become damaged in which case there is no liability on KSS to replace.
- Once the names have been incorporated in the design they cannot be changed or removed. Our supporters are aware that, by adding a name to our aircraft, the name will remain on the aircraft for a minimum period of three years.
- Any samples, drawings or illustrations are for the sole purpose of giving an idea of what the final design may look like, but do not have any contractual force. KSS reserves the right to amend the design as required.
- The timings are approximate only and KSS shall not be liable for any delay.
- This is a limited time opportunity and KSS cannot accept responsibility for late or incomplete entries and reserves the right to refuse any incomplete or late entries.
- There is a limited amount of space available and therefore entries will be on a first come, first served basis.
- We are raising funds to complete the total for the purchase of a helicopter for the charity. If we have donations left or if we are unable to purchase the helicopter due to an unexpected change of circumstance, the donations will be allocated to our Helicopter and Vehicle fund which keeps our helicopters flying, Rapid Response Vehicles on the road and supports our service now and into the future.
- As part of wider publicity opportunities, KSS may take photographs and videos of the aircraft to use. These images may be used in media releases, publications, social media and on our website, and other publicity opportunities. Local media will be invited to do the same. Whilst we will not focus on any one name, the supporter understands and accepts that their name may be identifiable from the design. Use of such media is solely at the discretion of KSS.
- Further details on how we may use your information can be found in our privacy statement
DETAILS OF THE PROCESS
- Dedications can only be made via our appeal page found at aakss.org.uk/helicopter
- We ask that care is taken to ensure that the form is correct at the point of submitting but accept that occasionally errors can happen. If this occurs, please contact hello@aakss.org.uk at the earliest opportunity to discuss and, where possible, we will try and assist you to correct it. Please note, once the dedication is on the helicopter, it is not possible to amend it. KSS is not responsible for any losses incurred by any person due to a dedication not appearing or appearing incorrectly on the helicopter.
- Following a successful submission, the supporter will be contacted by KSS to acknowledge receipt of their dedication and thank them for their support. Supporters will also receive further communications throughout the duration of the campaign keeping them informed with relevant updates.
