Blood Bike Day

On National Blood Bike Day we would like to say a huge thank you to our supporters from SERV Kent and SERV Surrey.

SERV (Service by Emergency Response Volunteers) is a charity that provides emergency courier services transporting blood products, samples and other patient essential items for the major hospitals and hospices in Kent, Surrey and London outside normal working hours.

Thanks to their work in 2023 we were able to give potentially life-saving transfusions to 155 patients before they reached hospital. Our ability to provide pre-hospital blood transfusions to those patients who need it is a critical part of the care we provide and would not be possible without the support of SERV Kent and SERV Surrey.

The incredible work that blood bikers do so selflessly makes a vital contribution to the communities they and we serve.

From riders to controllers, fundraisers to volunteers, their dedication is outstanding.

Thank you for everything you do for KSS and our patients.
