Family-owned Barretts Motor Group has pledged a significant donation providing a major boost to our ‘Buy it for Life’ urgent fundraising appeal to buy our air ambulance helicopter.
Owning instead of leasing this helicopter will save us around half a million pounds a year. This saving will enable us to fly for six more hours a day. More hours in the air means our specialist lifesaving crews will be able to reach more patients and save even more lives.
The cost saving will also enable the future development of our ability to fly in more challenging weather conditions as well as grow our Patient and Family Aftercare Service and introduce more community prevention and education activities.
Paul Barrett, owner of the well-known local family business which has been trading since 1902, is a long-term supporter of KSS and recent former Trustee of our lifesaving charity. The philanthropic and community-focussed businessman is a former High Sherriff and current Kent Ambassador and is incredibly passionate about supporting local people.
