Following the success of the recent Rochester Airport Fun Day and Air Display we were delighted to accept a cheque for £8.4k from Rochester Airport Director Ben Spiers.
The brilliant one-day event, which was held on 1 August, saw around 4,500 visitors to Rochester Airport, home of our charity headquarters. They enjoyed flying displays, aircraft tours, experience flights, live music and more. 25% of net proceeds were donated to KSS to support our lifesaving work.
Helene Poursain, Head of Individual Fundraising at KSS said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Rochester Airport, home of our charity headquarters, and everyone who supported the Fun Day and Air Display. It was great to see so many from the local area come together to support this event and raise funds for KSS. Ben and his team put on a truly memorable day which was a great example of community support for KSS. We are delighted to accept this donation in support of our lifesaving work.”
Rochester Airport Director Ben Spiers said: “It was a real pleasure for Rochester Airport to support Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) through the Family Fun Day and Air Display, we’re delighted with the amount raised. The charity provides an extraordinary lifesaving service across Kent, Surrey and Sussex, and we are delighted that the success of the Air Display has enabled us to make this contribution to such an important local charity.”
Thanks to everyone who supported the event and helped to make it such a success.
