We’re delighted that KIMS Hospital, Maidstone, who selected us as their Charity of the Year, have raised an incredible £16K to support our lifesaving work. We were chosen by the hospital’s team of over 500 employees, who have been holding events, challenges and competitions to help raise vital funds.
Kerry Campbell, our Corporate Relations Officer said: “KIMS Hospital has been a fabulous charity supporter over the past two years. We have really enjoyed getting to know the team and being involved in their numerous fundraising activities, they truly have gone above and beyond. We are so grateful for the staggering amount of money raised since 2022. Without support like this we can’t keep flying and saving lives.”
Since 2022, KIMS Hospital’s Social Committee have organised a series of fundraising events. These have included two sponsored walks, including one of 15 miles, a Coronation-themed themed cake sale, a clothes swap and a summer family fun day on the hottest day of the year in 2023!
Keli Tomlin, Clinical Nurse Manager and Chair of KIMS Hospital’s Social Committee, said: “KSS was the perfect fit for our Charity of the Year. The Air Ambulance is a vital service for our local community and I am immensely proud of the KIMS Hospital team’s fundraising efforts. We have had a lot of fun over the last two years supporting them and have even had the honour of a fly-by at our Summer Fun Day.”
