You can hold your event whenever you like. It doesn’t have to be on 26th November, you can do it whenever works best for you!
Whether you host at home or at work, with friends or neighbours, your cuppa will help our specialist air ambulance crew to continue flying and saving lives. Â
It costs over £45k a day to run our life-saving service and 87% of that is funded by people like you. Without you, we can’t keep flying. Without you, we can’t save lives.

FAQs
How do I host a coffee morning?
You can hold your event whenever and however you like, all you need to do is decide where you would like to hold it and when suits you best. We are promoting it around National Cake Day this year, but you can do it whenever works best for you. Then you can come together with friends, family or colleagues and enjoy a cuppa for your crew and a slice of something nice.
Once you signed up you’ll receive a free fundraising pack including invitations, cake flags, balloons, an event poster and even a game. We also have some digital resources available should you want to be more efficient and you can download and print at your convenience.
What happens at a coffee morning?
A coffee morning is about coming together with friends, family or colleagues and is about enjoying a chat over a drink and some food, you may even have a few games to play, all while raising money to help your local air ambulance be there when there is a life or death call.
As a host you can decide what you want your event to be – whether it is a simple bake sale at work or a garden party and cream tea. However, you choose to host this year every penny will help us to keep flying and saving lives.
Should I label my home baked treats?
We would advise as a best practice that any baked goods are labelled with any dietary information including ingredients. You will find some cake flags included in your pack to help. For more information please visit the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website.
How do I raise money at my coffee morning?
We find it works well to keep your cakes and savoury sweets at a fairly similar suggested donation amount.
Â
Make sure you’ve got a collection pot within easy reach for people to pop their money in! Alternatively, you may just want your guests to donate on arrival and then they can help themselves to a cuppa and a cake.
Â
You might also have ideas about others ways to raise funds, perhaps a raffle or asking your guests to take part in a sweepstake game where they can make a donation for a guess – maybe a ‘guess the weight of the cake game’. We have included a game in your pack which you can invite guests to play
Â
Don’t forget to ask guests to Gift Aid their donations where possible – you will have a form in your fundraising pack for guests to complete (it’s important they complete this themselves). You can find out more about this here.
Â
You can also set up a Justgiving page here and share with people that can’t attend. They may still want to support you.
