Kick start Air Ambulance Week by taking on a skydive on 8th September. Be a life-saver.

Air Ambulance week takes off across the UK on the 9th September, the only week dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the vital lifesaving work of air ambulance charities.  So we are asking our supporters to support their local air ambulance by taking a jump of a lime!

“Air Ambulance Week is an important reminder of the vital work done by air ambulance charities across the UK. Each day, air ambulance charities are collectively dispatched to over 107 lifesaving missions and each mission is funded almost entirely by the generosity of our local communities. Without the support of people like you, air ambulance charities would not be able to continue to deliver advanced pre-hospital care to people with a sudden life-threatening injury or medical illness.” Simmy Akhtar, CEO Air Ambulances UK

Go above and beyond (literally), get out of your comfort zone and skydive from 12,000ft. You’ll free-fall for 30-40 seconds before your instructor opens your parachute and you continue your dare devil descent which will last around four minutes. You’ll have a truly unforgettable experience all while raising vital funds for us.

This is a tandem skydive, you’ll be fully briefed and trained before you jump strapped to an experienced skydiving instructor, who’s there to control the skydive for you. You’ll be given an opportunity to steer however the instructor remains in control at all times.

“Did my first skydive at the weekend and I must say they were amazing and I had a really excellent time and felt very safe and happy to do my first jump. My instructor was perfect he reassured me the whole time and made the jump so good. It was really good fun and I am still buzzing from it now.
Would I go again yes I would, would I recommend them, ABSOLUTELY” Skydive Supporter.

Please note:

  • You have to be 16 or over on the day of the skydive to take part
  • If you’re under 18, your parent or guardian will need to complete the forms on your behalf
  • For safety reasons Headcorn Aerodrome’s general weight limit fully clothed is 86kg (13½ stone). However this limit is proportional to height. Please see full details under ‘restrictions’ here
  • Personal accident insurance is not included as part of your booking and we recommend that you arrange suitable cover
