Join us for an important symposium bringing together colleagues from air ambulance charities and wider Pre-Hospital Emergency  Medicine (PHEM) to explore barriers to diversity.

Through sharing lived experience, insights, and contributions from professional bodies, we aim to support a more inclusive and representative PHEM workforce.

Be part of the change:

We hope you will join us for this important event so that, together, we can help make positive change – removing barriers to diversity and ensuring all patients benefit from the highest quality treatment and care delivered by a representative and inclusive HEMS workforce.

The agenda is under development and is subject to change, but attendees can expect discussions and presentations covering themes such as:

  • What does inclusivity mean in relation to race and ethnicity?
  • Personal experiences and lived perspectives from across PHEM
  • Facilitated group discussions with PHEM stakeholders to provide space for reflections following expert talks and personal stories
  • Evidence based presentation exploring barriers to working in the PHEM setting
  • Opportunity to learn from others – what does good look like?
  • What’s next? Turning discussion into action and identifying priorities for the future

Please note that this is an early outline of the programme and is intended to provide a flavour of the discussions planned for the day. A full agenda will be shared once speakers and sessions have been finalised.
