Many congratulations to our CEO, David Welch, who has been invited to join Kent Ambassadors in recognition of his services to the county.
Kent Ambassadors are a group of highly successful and experienced leaders who live or work in Kent and who have come together, by invitation, in a voluntary arrangement to help all aspects of life in Kent. The Ambassadors are keen to promote the county as a business location and as a place to work and to live.
David Welch said: “I am honoured to join Kent Ambassadors and to advocate on behalf of the county. As CEO of a world-leading, Kent-headquartered charity, I am immensely proud of my team and of all that they do. We are on call 24/7 to deliver pre-hospital emergency care to the 4.8 million people who live in our region and to the many millions more who travel through Kent and the South East each year.”
“The aim of Kent Ambassadors is to use our energy, enthusiasm and experience that we have shown as leaders in our spheres and spread our commitment to the county in order to promote Kent positively and widely. I am thrilled to have been asked to get involved with this and to support the Kent business and wider community who play such a vital role in funding KSS, enabling us to remain fully operational 24/7. Every year we need to raise £15.2M to operate our life-saving service. 86% of our total income is raised through the generosity of our supporters.”
“As part of our recently announced ambitious Five Year Strategy to help realise our vision of an end to preventable loss of life from medical emergency, we plan to forge even stronger bonds with the Kent community, extending our remit to deliver local community-based initiatives to prevent and respond to medical emergencies. We want to continue to push boundaries in delivering a world-class pre-hospital emergency care service, which will bring enormous benefits to the people of Kent and beyond.”
